Probably *was* those, they're very common Portuguese food. I'm working
in Portugal for 6 months at the moment, so I've been trying to cook some
of the Portuguese dishes I've enjoyed. Those go well (traditionally)
with "arroz de feijao", or bean rice, where black beans are cooked with
the rice and some spices.
