Given Simon's response I'm prompted to revists this. To be honest I'm
not sure why I missed this - i presume the whole thread happened during
one of my frequent cross-pondian trips and I missed it somehow :(

So, in virtual absentia can I reccomend the Cranks Cookbook as a
specific and then as a generic indian cookbooks. In particular I believe
that Maddur Jaffrey does an excellent one.

I'm not sure if Mildreds (the vege restaurant in Soho which is one of my
favourite places) do a cookbook but, if they do, then i'm pretty sure
it's worth its weight in gold.

Mmmmm, ale and mushroom pie.
